I finnaly got a chance to get my car back on the dyno after installing the C&L plenem and BBK 75mm t-body. here are my old and new numbers.........
best of 3 pulls, before= 264rwhp 276rwt
best of 3 pulls, after= 260rwhp 274rwt

lost 4rwhp and 4rwt
Dyno pulls were done on two seperate days but under simmular conditions. im very Disappointed at the results i thought i would see some decent gains but my Car is still un-tuned :nonono: so maybe with a tune i will see some gains.

yeah that seems wierd. diffenet days is not good fair a comparison but should still have gained. yeah other than your a/f being off that is a stumper. what kind of dyno was that on?
all the pulls were done on a dynojet, and i know that the dynos wont be as accurate because they were done on twp different days but i thought forsure i would see some good gains. as far as the 75mm t-body, i was told it was the best size for the plenem
oh i almost forgot, the new combo leaned me out preaty good, soo now im afraid to spray.

Yes a 75mm TB is recommended w/ a C&L Plenum.

The real proof is found at the track, not the dyno. Let us know if your times drop, or MPH increases.
your Completely right, all that matters to me is track times. I just put it on the dyno to make sure my a/f ratio was safe considering i havent had a chance to get it tuned since the headswap.

If i lived in Texas i would be at the track every weekend, but i dont so i have to wait till opening weekend wich is in april.
Yes. The track nearest me's open virtually 365. But I've made many a mod since my last visit & must iron out the kinks 1st. I think I'll go again maybe next month or in April.

same dynos, and i think uncorrected.

Go back and ask them to give you the dynojet files and download the Dynojet software off the web site. You can then convert the runs to SAE.

After you do that, give us your results. Uncorrected only tells you what power your car made at that given moment. Everyday things can change. Here are some of the things that affect dyno results:

- humidity
- air intake temp.
- air pressure
- tire pressure
- how tightly they strap down your car
- engine operating temp.

Some of those variables can be made consistent with SAE corrected dyno numbers.

The other variables are tough to get around when you dyno on different days.

That's exactly what I was getting at. I'm guessing uncorrected numbers could vary by at least the expected potential gain by this mod (about 8 rwhp and 9 rwtq).

I would see if you gained anywhere in the band. peak #'s are no where near as important as average. that is what will matter at the track.

the 75mm does provide better flow on the c&l. with all of his mods he should be find with 600cfm flow I would think. I mean if not you could try a 70mm. someone would swap you tb's I am sure if it helped.

I try to stay out of theese threads because most of you already know how I feel about the whole throttle body and plenum ordeal. Basically put, SOTP gains mean nothing. You can gain in the SOTP and yet have worse times at the track. The track is basically the only true tool you can use to tell wether you have worthwhile gains.

IMHO, a n/a GT is better off just P&P their stock throttle body and upper intake. I did a write up on this but I dont know if its still available or not.
