New on the site

Hey, new on the site...figured I'd put some pics up, all stock right now, want to get some 5 spoke bullets, exhaust (still trying to decide on a brand), a manual tranny would be nice.....I was wondering if anyone has ever noticed that the Air Bag Light Comes on if the battery ever dies.....i've had the code cleared at a ford dealer before, i was wondering if a cheap reader could clear it and where i could buy the reader if i it is possible.....

Welcome to the site. Good looking ride man. I picked up a cheap code reader off the internet for right around $50. It reads and clears, and comes with a book that tells what each code stands for. I'll try to dig up the website and post it on here after work.

you can clear it yourself.

turn the car on, but don't start the motor.
theres a grey clip underneath the glovebox. take a metal paper clip, and attach an end to each prong.
after like 8 seconds i think it is, it should beep, really audible. you'll no doubt be able to hear it.

take out the paper clip, turn the car off.

turn the car back on, and wait, to see if the light comes back on

i bought my car back in october, 1994. all stock except a cd player that wont play cds, and stock tips with just weld in flowmasters.

its nice to have a basically stock car, more fun for me to modify.

Thanks, just did it, it worked. it makes 4 little beeps, not sure where they come from but i could hear it. And to believe ford wanted to put their expensive computer on it (which would've cost more than a 100 dollars just for using it......) just to clear a stupid code
