i've finally decided on what i'm doing. repaint it black. put a blue pearl coat on it. then two ghost stripes with the blue pearl. the stripes are going to start on the cowl (6" or so) then follow the cowl line of the hood and go over the roof where it will be straight back from the back of the hood (10" or so). the decklid is the same as the roof. only on the top.

the ford emblem on the deck lid and the antena are being shaved.

so far all the stuff has been taken off, ie the taillights, emblems, etc. and its ready to be sanded. i'm going to stop at the shop by the end of the week to see the progress. the guy said it should take about 2 weeks to do.

feedback?

way to much stuff going on in the paint job... base coat, pearl coat, stripes that are a diff color and pearl coat, they don't go straight back... Its hard to picture the final product in my head, but are the stripes going to be far apart like? Sounds like they'll be 6" wide running next to the line on the hood for the cowl so that leaves a lot of room inbetween the stripes for the rest of the car?

What I'm picturing in my head isnt looking too good, but it could be completly backwards from what it really is. I'll need to see pictures before I make any oppinions about it.

the closest i've seen to it is kinda like the camaro stripes which isn't what its modeled after before anyone says anything.

the hood is the only tricky part. it starts off a 6" then gets larger as it goes back. it follows the line of the cowl.

as far as the color goes, for all intensive purposes it is black, but it will have a blue sheen to it.

i'll def. have pics up as i get them. i want to get some progress pics by the end of the week.
