New Problems with Brake Lights

I have an 87 5.0 that is having some brake light problems. During the day with the lights off, if I push on the brake pedal the brake lights do not come on. I have to push really hard to get them to come on and when I do only the driver side and the third eye come on. At night with the lights on the driver side brake light is always lit (I know that it is a two tone light with it getting brighter when you step on the pedal). It is always on the bright setting. I have to push really hard for the third eye to come on as well. The passenger side never comes on. I have checked the fuses and the bulbs and all are good. I have replaced the bulb housing for the driver side one that is always in the bright position at night. What is going on? What affects the brake lights? Would the brake light switch on the brake pedal cause these problems? I really need some help.

Check the switch, its up on the brake pedal, also check the grounds for the pass side brake light, should be in your trunk/hatch area, Test with a meter to see where your voltage is stopping. A manual would be able to help you locate the wires in your brake system

Brake light switch or Fuse problem... I've had both. My hazard light switch causes my brake light fuse to blow... wierd. Those are the cheapest fixes and at least you'll know the brake switch is okay. It's a pain to get in though... unless you're 3 ft tall.
