I have wanted a set of these wheels for a LONG time, especially since I got into autocross and luckily I grabbed a set today, complete with a set Hoosier Koni cup tires.

I'll have to wait a few days before I can get pics of them on the car, but for now here's a little taste. These are my new race wheels.

It's sad that he has to add the copyright, because people steal his pics and use them as their own.

Those are badass wheels Paul, should look cool on the Cobra. Are they much lighter than the 10th ann wheels, or just stronger?

Thanks all!

94GTfreak- Thanks, I can't wait to see them on the car too!!!

yukisho- I've seen way too many pics that people have put up here and elsewhere get used by random people to sell stuff. A buddy of mine had his car pictured in a major mustang suppliers catalog and after finding out that without the copyright logo it fell into "public domain" and he had no recourse and they didn't have to compensate him I started adding the copyright logo.

Matt- The tires are actually MINT! These are race tires that come with basically just a shadow of a tread on them. There are wear holes across the face of the tire and they are all there and accounted for. There is a lot of meat left on these tires. The only bad thing is that since they are a road race tire more than likely the compound is too hard for autocross as I'll never get enough heat into them to soften them up.

95BlueStallion- These wheels are lighter and should be stronger than the '03 anniversary wheels, plus these are wider as well. these are a true 3 piece wheel like my bogart RR10's on my 'vert which means that if I ever mess part of the wheel up, or want to change its width I can by adding new halves to it. Also, I hurt the '03 cobra wheels a little this year when they made contact with the A arms. I still raced on them after the mishap, but it was always in the back of my mind as I worried they may fail on me in a high G corner.

blksn955.o- Yes, these are the race version of the CCW classic's. I believe they are 17X10 (they may be 17X9.5), but I won't know for sure until I get the tires off. I'm not too worried about fitment though as they came off of a '96GT and the back spacing is almost spot on with what I have now. Fender clearance shouldn't be an issue either since I have a lot of roll stiffness in the car with my 425lb coil-overs up front. I will obviously need to check everything but I know I can get them to work.

Thanks Kurt!

God Paul, why do you always have to do this to me with all your goodies?! I need to get a good job out of school if I want to continue my habit. Awesome looking wheels, definitely one of my favorites!

The only way I continue this habit is to keep my eyes and ears open for deals. I buy a lot of stuff used, or when I find specials. Its still an expensive hobby, but I have friends who's yearly golf and county club fees way outweigh the little bit I spend on my cars.

That's what my dad always says. It's a lot cheaper for him to build a race car and race it for a lifetime than it is to spend $1000's every year to play golf. Plus golf is BORINGGGG!!!!

what are you hoping to gain from the wheels as far as time wise in your runs?

I don't know how anybody plays that game. The fact that they have a channel devoted to it blows my mind.

Well, I need longer wheels studs before I can mount them on the Cobra BUT... I do have 3" studs on the '95 up front so here is a few pics:

Ryan- that is a hard one to answer. This kind of racing isn't like drag racing where you can compare times from one outing to the next as the course changes every time, but with this light weight wheel that is wider it should help. I hurt my '03 cobra wheels and that is the main reason I got these. New tires will make the biggest difference and even though these Hoosiers will make a nice HPDE tire, they are no good on the autocross course as they will not have enough time to come up to temp and get sticky.

gotcha. i figured it was a hard question to answer but i figured i'd ask. I knew you said in the past that the autocross club you race with favored the top end course so i figured they would gear them somewhat the same. Would it help if you got into a tighter course to heat up the tires?

Dang I'm impressed. Those truly give it that autocross race car look and that looks awesome. Nice score.
