Well I finally got around to putting the car on the dyno since my chip and pulleys were installed. My previous best was 236.7rwhp and 272.2ft/lbs torque in 4th gear. My 3rd and final pull today netted me an extremely nice 252.0rwhp and 295.1 ft/lbs torque.

Pulls were at follows...

1st 244.6 hp 283.1 ft/lb
2nd 244.7 hp 285.8 ft/lb
3rd 252.0 hp 295.1 ft/lb

For the final pull, we sat a fan up and got everything good and cool before hand. The previous runs were pretty close back to back, with little cool down time. Im very happy we let the car really cool down for the final pull though.

Not to bad for the couple of bolt ons Ive got  :D

Ill post the graph Monday after I get it scanned at work :nice:

Good runs. Man I need to get my car dynoed 1 of these days. I have no idea what I'm running. When people ask I just say it had 260 stock. Most of them ain't Mustang enthusiasts so wouldn't know that that's @ the flywheel.

Are the pulleys worth the cost and possible charging problems (if any)?
What kind of gains? SOTP?

Pulleys are worth the gain but not really noticeable unless you're really getting on it IMO. I haven't had any charging issues & mine have been on about a yr & a half. @ idle my RPMs are anywhere between 100 & 400 RPMs lower than it used to be though. I usually sit @ about 600-650RPMS when idling. No biggie though. My power-sterring pump also works a tad harder. I never use my A/C so that doesn't kill me. SOTP gains are there but nothing like a Supercharger.

I noticed a bit more pull from 4000rpm and up after the install. Anything before that is hard to tell since the 3.73's make it rev so quick. I can feel a difference in 3rd and 4th though :nice:
I got the Steeda Pulleys and havent noticed a bit of charging problems. Lights hardly dim at all when I roll the windows up or down at a light or have the defog/heat/ac on.

I had a noticeable difference in mine, but it was so long ago when I put them on, I don't remember how much difference it made. There are no dynos near by that don't require removing the engine :notnice: I haven't had any charging problems at all.I had some issues on one of my 5.0s, but I also had a lot of stereo equipment in it.I would recommend them, not many cheap bolt-ons for the 4.6. I'm jealous that you have some definite numbers, and I have no idea what I'm running.I guess I could quit being lazy and drive a couple hours to hit the dyno.Maybe one day.

1 day I will also get off my lazy duff @ drive the 2 hours so I can get my car dynoed & hopefully dyno-tuned as well, especially after Monday as I think I will soon be done w/ my N/A power-adders.

As far as N/A power-adders go it'll be my last. I'm unsure of what exactly I'll do. I'm guessing JBA hedders & a Mac Pro-Chamber w/ the same muffs I have now as I love their sound. I want to eliminate my cats. I know I'll have to run mills. I think what I'm gonna have to do is get the muffler shop who installed my muffs to weld the muffs to the Pro-Chamber, since they will not eliminate cats. Then I'll unbolt the stock exhaust collectors & replace them w/ hedders & run Mils. That should complete my N/A power adders. Then it'll be more handling/suspension time. I don't want to Supercharge till my car is beyond 100% in ALL other categories. I've never been a big fan of supercharging a stock/near stock car. Sorry so long-winded.

If your doing anything exhaust wise man, Id go with L/T's and matching mid pipe. You will get more sotp and hp gains, but it will require a bit more $$$. I feel ya on the s/c thing as well. I dont really plan on putting a s/c on mine anymore, Im just going to stay all motor. Ill save the s/c or turbo for my 5.0 :D.

Thanks guys :nice: This little dyno session makes me feel a bit more confident my my 300 hp with no head, cam, or intake work goal :flag:

Its going to be close, but with the L/T's, midpipe, TB, Plenum, and a good tune to top it all off, I think I can get it :D. Im sure as crap going to try thats for sure :nice:

You should be sitting pretty with those mods man, keep it up 1990!
