Which dealer would you all advise I talk to about a new car? I am considering a vert or HT, but I think either car should be an SC car.

I am not an expert on the newer cars. Does Saleen install the SC, or does the dealer?

Most importantly, what price should be the target for a fully loaded Vert or HT?

Thanks. Have a safe New Year.

Call Ron Ward at Campbell Ford in Niles Michigan. Ron is one of the largest Saleen Dealers in the Country. I bought my 06 SC from him and my experience was amazing. http://www.saleenperformancedealer.com or call him at 888-367-3999. He sells and ships Saleens all over the world. If you have any questions free to contact me.

Doesn't matter who installs the SC, in this case i'm pretty sure it's saleen for most cars, but i'm sure there are dealers that will install an SC on a NA car, just to sell it to you.
Soon as you get it, have it retuned, because the saleen tune is crap.
I love the new saleen verts, it's 1000% better than any older mustang vert.

IMO, make sure you get the newer rims too.

Thanks.HHMM, I am partial to the 93 verts....but I understand. By newer rims....which one do you mean, please be specific?

And, even if I buy a factory SC car, it will need a retune? Tune or reflash?

Thanks.

The newer rims are the 20 inch 5 stars, they look awesome, noticeably better than the wagon wheels.
My buddy installs Saleen SC kits, from saleen, and the tune that comes with them is a mess.
Doesn't have to be re-done, but there is quite a bit of power/reliability to be found with a custom tune as opposed to a cookie cutter tune.

As far as the 93 vert, well, i'm a foxbody guy. Love them to death. But you drive a fox vert for a while and it comes apart at the seams, where's if the new mustang verts, feel like a coupe all the time, plain old solid.

The new rims are on this car

Yep, thanks. I thought these might be the wheels you spoke of. I saw the E car on ebay. I kind of like the wagon versions!

Fox body cars are 1 hour cars for me. We own three...just sold a mint 92 vert with about 25K miles. I am kind between "lust" projects. To be one with Marcus...I took the 95 s351 out of the garage today to get my torque fix....nuff said. I HAVE YET TO DRIVE A NEW CAR...MIGHT BE VERY DANGEROUS!

I went to three local Ford dealers that sell Saleens....they could not tell me what options were available....lights/wheels/SC. Stinking nothing. They did ask what mufflers/headers I had on the '95. When I answered Kooks/Borla...they looked puzzled. I just left.....man, I must be old!

Oh well, I'll think it over. I have an 06 red S281 coupe that drives by my office every stinking day at 4:45. It looks/sounds like ...a rolling erection! GREAT low end sounds! On day I followed him for awhile and stopped at a light next to him in my S351. He did not even look over......no sense of history!

Have a safe New Year.
