Ok, I just installed my Steeda Tri-Ax shifter and I must say, WOW!! I absolutely LOVE the way it feels. The build quality on it looks just amazing. I am very impressed with both the feel and look of the shifter. I also got a Steeda engraved shift knob to finish off the look. I am definately going to buy more items from Steeda for my Mustang. I just thought I would share the good news.

i was trying to decide if I wanted to buy a tri ax or not but, i am going to. Cant wait.

I have a tri ax, and i must say that i love it too. I recently only had one problem with it, the bottom bolt on the shifter handle came all the way out. I have no idea hoe this happened, and i know the bolt was tight when i installed it. It was a quick fix but freaked me out at first, but its an awesome shifter. Im glad I bought steeda rather then any other.

Quick question, do yall think the dealer would void a warranty for changing a shifter(say perchance, something happened with the tranny?) Thanks, and I also plan on one of these.

Did you get the typical extra noise with the new shifter, or did it remain quiet like stock setup?????

Yea i just got mine the other day, but what i really like is upr's new shifter handle. it is 30 bux but man its awesome, fully adjustable and everything, you should check it out www.uprproducts.com

which transmission are u running ? if T5..yes

I agree to that.I have a Steeda tri-ax and love it because I
never miss a shift unlike the stock shifter that you can miss
shifts with a destory your trannsmission.Congrats on your
new shifter!

I just wanted to say thanx to all of you for congratulating me. After one day of service, I am still very happy about the choice I made. The extra noise, kinda, I kept the stock rubber boot that is actually on the shifter and put it on the Tri-Ax. It says in the instructions that will help witht he noise. I did it simply because I don't want dirt and other undesirables to get into my shifter. I can actually feel the gears engage so much more now, it's practically impossible to miss a shift, unless you are tired or drunk, but I won't drive my Mustang that way.

Yes, actually I did see that handle and am also conisdering buying it. It is quite a nice looking handle.

Thanx, and unfortunately I do not have any. My camera messed up when taking them, so I have to wait until I have plenty of light next time.

I would ask the dealer, or better yet, have someone else ask for you, someone that they could not connect with your car. I would not consider myself an expert on this subject, but they may actually void the warrenty. As far as I understand, and I could be very wrong, shorter throw shifters will wear out your syncros faster than a stock shifter will because you are making the syncro work faster, kind of like dropping a clutch. I hope someone with more knowledge on the subject can chime in, but I believe that is how it works. Granted, anything you do to high performance your engine/trans/rear end will make it wear out faster, but then again, if you are wanting your car to go fast, you will probably never be done modding it anyway, LOL.

robg860 - yes.. but take it off before you take it to a dealer.. IF you have any problems.. all dealers a different.. My dealer told me they wouldnt work on it tell i changed it..

Sanz - Nope.. remember all you have to do is push forward.. take your palm and push.. it will do the rest

Get the WHOLE tri-Ax.. you WILL NOT regret it.. But ive always wonder why Steeda made the Tri-Ax with there logo upside down when installed..
