I have been waiting for what seems like forever to have these installed on the car.

A huge improvement over the styled steel wheels that were there. We tried to fit 245/50 tires in the back, but it was just too tight, so 225/50s all around. These are Vintage Wheel series 50, 16 x 8 size. A guy at a show I was at last year told me where I could buy the Hertz labels with the red backround, all I had seen before these had a gold backround.

If the weather holds this weekend I'll take the car out and get some better shots of them in the daylight.

Yes, I saw those and Vintage also makes several other sixes, see them here, http://www.vintagewheelworks.com/products/wheels/v50

I didn't want to go much bigger than the 16's, I think that with sizes larger than 16 there is too little rubber visible compared to the wheel itself. Almost ricer like.....

I am trying to keep the car looking as Vintage as possible. I am resisting the temptation to replace the OE bucket seats with those of a more modern (and comfortable) design. With the hood closed no one would ever know how different mine is from an original, now with the EFI, all that goes out the window when the hood is opened. Those JME 6 gauge clusters are really nice and I am considering making this change this winter, still torn between which gauges to use, those white face units look so nice, but certainly not original. Choices to make.....

true the 17's don't leave a lot of sidewall, i just think the 66 10 spokes look more "appropriate" on a gt 350h, not that it really makes any real difference though. so far i haven't really found anything bigger than a 15" wheel that i really like except for the team III wheels mini-lite clones in 17" the wheel vintiques are ok but they have that little ridge around the center hub of the wheel that just doesn't look right on a mini-lite style wheel to me, so unless i get rich and can afford the team III wheels or someone starts making a billet version of the stock 69 gt wheels in 17" i think i'll just stick with my good old 15" riken "mesh" wheels from the 80's (nobody makes those in 17" either, hell they don't even make the same style wheel anymore period).

Did you look at the other wheels that Vintage offers? They have a 16 x 8 wheel that looks just like a Mini-lite.

yeah all the wheel vintiques v48's have a ridge/lip on the outer circumference of the center hub, real min-lites don't have that and i think it detracts from the look of the wheel

I lurrrrve the 10 spoke Shelby wheels, and I also have a soft spot for the mini-lites, but I think they only really suit circuit racer type Mustangs.

Can't wait to see some full car shots of those Shelby lookeylikeys.
