In another thread I was told new springs could be a good first step towards better handling, and I like the idea of lowering it in the first place, but I feel like im going to be giving something up

Is there a disadvantage in just putting springs in an otherwise stock mustang (2004)? I am talking about every little thing, except speedbumps , but thats about all I know.

I know NOTHING about it, so im just throwing these out as top of the head speculation. Is there a change in the balance of the car that might prove dangerous? Does the car wobble, shift awkwardly (not the transmission), flex strangely or worse, anything like that? Any kind of weird bounce effects in different situations? As I said thats all wild, uneducated speculation, so please inform me!

Thanks

read up on this, itll explain alot of how the suspension works:
http://www.miracerros.com/mustang/t_suspension.htm

there are no dangerous side effects to installing performance springs.
they will reduce body roll (car wobbling) and increase control and predictability of where the car will and wants to go.

the ride will get more bouncy, in a sense that it will bounce 'faster' instead of slowly absorbing lumps in the road.. but this will let you control the car better.

i only installed h&r supersport springs on my car and had a dramatic improvement in handling, theres a damn near solid set of marks circling the best western inn of campbellsville kentucky if you dont believe it. h&r's also gave a very nice drop, 2" in the front and 1.6" in the rear.

I put on some eibach sportlines over 6 months ago and left the stock shocks/struts on. All I can say is that the handling is a lot better and I have no complaints.

I put on the Eibach pro line springs and they look awesome as well as firming up the ride but not making it too harsh. Very satisfied, would do it again !!
