new sunroof stripping

brand new body to glass and glass weather stripping was insatted today and it seem as if teh room is sticking up higher then it did with teh old stripping... and one else had this problem????? the stuff was bought from 50resto

I ordered mine from late model restoration and I am having the same problem. It looks a little odd because the seal sticks up a little.

Same Prob Here, when i first installed it i couldnt get my roof to close. I had to press down on it from the outside...i also got mine from 5.0RESTO.

same here , and i dont plan on opening it either... and im not happy that it is higher then the body now

I left mine closed for a couple of days and i guess it molded itself to the roof. It did get eaiser to close. Im happy with it....

same problem here...i rarely use my sunroof so i dont really worry about it...as long as it doesnt leak im not worried

the seal will need time to compress and take it's shape like the old one. I bet when theese cars were new they did the same thing for the first month or so

i was hoping that was the case but after 1 1/2 yrs its still the same as the day i installed it...so im guessing i have no such luck...

I bought mine from Blue oval industries, I did not like it where the Stripping butts together, but it fit right in the opening with no problems.
