New timing chain and gears...

I was talking to my brother in law and he said that on my car it'd take about a half a day to do a new timing chain and new timing gears. How hard is the installation? I've got 140,000 miles and they start to get pretty loose at 100,000. I also heard that it'll make a difference in the car's performance, I bet it'll give me a few ponies but not a SOTP diff.

Drain all the coolant, cooling fan and shroud, serpentine belt, remove everything that interferes with the removal of water pump and timing gear cover, crankshaft pulley, water pump, timing gear cover, and finally remove the gears and chain. I think that´s it.
