New to aftermarket hoods.

I just picked up a aftermarket hood on craigslist and got a good deal, my question is it comes with a spot for the factory latch but should I use just that or that and hood pins or just hood pins? I would rather not have pins but I do not want the hood to fly up on me.

It's a really good idea to use pins for safety. Leave the factory hood latch intact. Even though it isn't a very good theft deterant, every little thing helps.
