Hi all! was interested in putting a 01 4v motor in to a 98 cobra. Ford Racing sells a package of the 4v with a tranny and eec , harness, ETC. Which transmission does it come with, it doesn't say on the website. i think its maybe a T-56 ? any helpwould be nice... BTW cool forums, glad to be here

if its an 01 then it would be the t3650.

No T56 till 03. Don't you have a 4V already???

I believe the tranny change occured at the beggining of the 99's from the T45 to the T56.

No. The 01 did not have a 6 speed.

96-99 cobras had the T45
01/02(AUS) cobras had the T3650
03/04 cobras had the T56

ok...the t-56 is the 6 speed and wasnt introduced untill the 03 cobra...however the package you are talking about comes with the t3650 that replaced the crappy t45 that i have in my car...the t3650 was in most of the 01 GTs including the Bullet and all of the 02 and newer GTs, it was also the tranny that was used in the 99-01 cobras

everything is true except about the 99 cobras. they have the t45.
