new to mustangs need help with distributor

i am getting to the end the build and i would like to know the best way to get the disributor in time.what i have done so far to put the disributor in place is i brought the #1 piston to tdc and put the disributor with the rotor in the #1 plug wire spot on the distributor.is that right. if it is wrong plz tell me the right way to do so lol thanks

Sounds good, don't forget to pull the spout connector. You also have to make sure cylinder one is on the compression stroke and at TDC.
