Not even close...Joe's car has been down over a year, and what you refer to is like the rest of us...just tossing around ideas.

I think JR has a Viper V-10 in his car by now.

this is the lightning car, correct??? I can definately see why someone would pay that much for it. It definately attracts attention.

Nice parts...I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you

Not yet.. The new tubro looks great (along with the rest of the bay)... I think JR would do a V10 Viper Motor if he could get a nice 100mm Turbo on there and have it find in his Vert....

IMO, $25,000 is alot. I paid $7k for mine a year ago. If I put in $18,000 more, it could be in the running for King Of The Street.

I wish I had the "problem" of trying to decide if I should take $25,000 for my car.

just my $.02.

I don't really see it as a problem. I will be losing money on the deal but its a chance to start over... And Have all new parts all at once.. accentually a new car customized to ME. Before this guy even offered i was preparing the car for TRUE Street Competition. My ULTIMATE goal is an 8 second TRUE street car. Last i looked the faster True Street comp guys average around 9.5 ET.

kinda funny you can take 25,000 dollars and make a completely custom car (including perchase price) to your liking for the most part, that will smoke any $100,000+ lambergini porche or ferriri (sp?). May not touch them on a road coarse but thats not what its being designed for. This will include paint, body kit, 800 rwhp motor, tranny, rear end, etc with the A/C and cruise...(maybe i wont be able to get everything at once but most of it) If this ACTUALLY goes through i will call it the 25000 dollar challange... to buy and build a STREET car (94/95 mustang), drive it to the track put it into the 9's AT LEAST and then drive home with the A/C on, And hopefully with a decent street tune so i can skip a gas station here and there . Accept i will be the only competiter in this competition i made up. This is like a dream to me.. Its not even all that much money. Mustangs are probably the best build your own dream car designs there ever was. AFTERMARKET RULES!!!

really it would be like giving your car to rousch or Saleen but with not as big of a price tag and more performance.

What is sad is i have already put this amound of money in a car once. But it just doesn't seem that way sence it didn't happen all at once and i didn't have a true goal in mind. i would have deffenetly done some things differently the first time around and got a lot more out of what i have for cheaper.

I would have no problem taking 25K for that car and laughing all the way to the bank.

I will be interested in seeing results for those heads, they are not messin around.

What made you decide on these heads? When I talked to jegs a couple of weeks ago, the flow data they gave me was as follows:

.400 .500 .600 .700
258 288 307 332
153 177 194 202

Considering 247cc intake runners, it seemed like they did not flow as well as I thought. This is especially true for the exhaust side. I have decided that the AFR 225s might be a better fit for me since they flow alot more on the exhaust side and the smaller runners will aid in velocity. I guess if you have a blower, then that changes the equation though.

For one the price was a little better. For 2 I wanted to try something a little different, try something that not many other people have. It may bite me in the butt but then again it may not...
