tuning questions..

so, i recently came across a hypertech power programmer III for 50 bucks..i know its not the best tuner, but hey its 50 bucks?

anyway.. i dont even know where to begin.

where should i program my shift points, and shift firmness?

and i noticed that at 70mph my speedo is about 10 mph off and its 5 off at 45 is there any way i could correct this with this tuner?

thanks :)

i have the hypertech III myself , i use it as a code reader , that's as far as useful as it gets once you start modding , its ultra slow while tuning , make sure you make 15+ min of your time if you want to flash your car , but since you already bought it , id start with loading the performance tune , increase the rev limiter by 500 and add 100-200 more rpm to each shift and try it out , each transmission takes these adjustment differently so you would have to see for yourself , as for firmness its probably the only good adjustment on the whole hypertech , its not too harsh , not too soft either , as for speed adjustment , the only thing that can affect that in the program is tire sizing in there and i believe the rear gears adjustment , hope this helps and if you have any further questions , please do ask.
