new window rubber and channel runs. Options? opinions?

So I am tired of hearing and seeing the road through the weather stripping when I am on the streets. I decided to spend the coin on new weather stripping and the channel runs as well as the plastic plugs for the window motors so the window will go up straight again. On the freeway if the passenger side window is partially down the window takes it out of the track and I have to force it back in. The new plugs should fix this.

I already bought the plugs now I need to get weather stripping. I saw that 50resto has a kit for $149 for everything that i am looking for. Seems like a good price and one stop shopping. I looked on ebay and could piece together a set for about the same price or maybe just a smidge cheaper.

anyone know of a better place??? I have always had good luck with 50resto so I am leaning that way but I am open to suggestions.

Mustangs Unlimited sell weather stripping as well, some times they are cheaper then 50resto.

Make sure the stuff you get is good quality molding. I got some two years ago and I can't remember where from but it was too thick and never "settled". It was a pain to shut the trunk and close the doors.

Shortly after I bought my car last summer, I did a whole bunch of weather stripping and I got it all from LRS. I did the the door-to-body, hatch, window channel, inner and outer door belts along with the outer trim. It was all great stuff and was pretty straight forward to install. The doors were a little hard to shut for awhile because they sealed so well, but they're fine now. Talk about a huge difference in noise - it used to have air comming in everywhere and now it's so quiet.

When I did the window channels, I took my door panels off to install part of the strip for the front end of the door. So if you have any power lock or window issues that'd be a good time to do those too.

I am ont sure which piece you are talking about. does it come with one of the kits?? or is that just part of the channel install??? I am having some issues with the windows rocking back and forth but as much as I can see the new nylon plugs for the motor should get rid of the slop....

Oh I was talking about installing the window channel weather stripping, I'm not sure on how to fix the rocking window.

I replaced my driver's door weather strip on my old car with a piece from Mustangs Unlimited, length was correct, but the door needed force to close all the way, even after 3-4 years. I would generally have to slam it from the inside, or outside I would close it and have to give it an extra "nudge" to get it to latch fully.

Did you ever adjust the striker outward more?

Yeah, striker adjustment would probably fix it.
