Newbie driver question...

Well.. tis true.. I am a newbie, but learning.. now ff want to piss some people off.. or maybe let the other guy next to me know I want to race him.. I want to do something.. 'tough guy'ish LOL.. so would it hurt my tranny or engine if I was going maybe 15-30 mph and just slipped into neutral and rev'd her up a little and simple slip back into drive without a rev (easily maintaing current speed)? Or is this a no no? LOL Thanks guys. Please no flaming.. I admit I'm a newbie.. that's the first step.. the second is learning. (Btw my 03 GT is AOD) Thanks.

I would not recommend it, but you probably wont really hurt anything.

i have an auto escort zx2 and I beat on that thing every day... i am actually trying to give it an earlier death so i can just move on from that squeaky pos (idler pulley i think)... i shift to neutral @ 45 and rev that thing to 6000 right before i put her back in Drive... unfortunately, nothing has happened or even degraded on my car yet whatsoever! I don't know If i'd pull all that jazz on a mustang, but I'm just giving you an example.
