As you’re disassembling the car, be sure to take lots of digital pictures and bag and label each component as it’s removed. You’ll be very glad you did when it comes time for reassembly.
Per your data plate:
model year: 1966
built at: Metuchen (Edison, NJ)
bodystyle: Hardtop
engine: 289 CID - 2V
consecutive #: 152591
body series: Hardtop - standard-trim bucket seats
scheduled assy.: March 15, 1966
exterior color: "Wimbledon White"
interior trim: Light Blue crinkle vinyl w/ Medium Blue "rosette"-pattern vinyl inserts
sales office (DSO): Atlanta, GA ("NK")
axle ratio: 2.80:1 "conventional"
transmission: "C-4" automatic
(You should put some information in your sig file so we don’t have to search for info on your car.) You should also check the VIN on the dash and check for a body tag in the engine compartment to confirm that this V6 car used to be a V8, (I’m not sure exactly where the tag is located on your year), since the door with the data plate could have come from another car.
You’ll also get faster responses to specific questions if you post them as individual threads.
I can’t help you with the seats since I think they are different than my 71-73s, though I think I recall something about seat bolt access holes in the floor.
