I am new to working on cars and I'd appreciate a little advice. I am also new to the forum so forgive me if I violate any etiquette...

I have an 66 that I just got and the bypass hose was capped off. I am not sure why the'd do that unless they weren't running a heater. I do however plan on running a heater. Here is my question. How should the bypass be hooked up properly ? I have two hoses coming from my heater core going straight to the water pump that the previous owner did... I would assume I should run a hose from the bypass to the water pump...and one of the hoses should go back to the heater but how does the second heater hose hook up ? or does it.... ? Like I said I a new to all this and trying to learn. Appreciate any help... a picture would be nice but I will be happy with words of wisdom....lol
