Hey guys n gals, my name is Jared.. I just purchased my first 5.0 coupe yesterday... and i am eager to dig into the car and get it up and running.. I was previously into modding gm trucks.. lifted and street.. I still have my trucks.. and even my gas sipper geo tracker... but i have had a soft spot for fox body stangs since i was 16
I bought it from a kid who got financially over his head.. and before that someone had wrecked it and rigged it back together..
There are wires and vaccuum lines that i have no CLUE where they go at the moment! lol
I plan on just pulling out the engine and transmission.. overhauling them.. cleaning up the wiring and systems screwed up by the previous owners, and attempting to put it back together.. smog pump and ac delete kits.. its going to be a weekend warrior
I do give props to the guy i bought it from.. he put alot of work into it..
It is a 93 Mustang Coupe.. but it is in shambles.. there are fluids leaking from every orifice.. turn signals wont work, fuel pump wont stop priming, engine idles around 1300 rpm, it shifts out at 35oo rpm full throttle, and its missing alot of factory parts, this thing is a complete mess... but i hope with some time and money and advice from you guys... i can get her back to tip top shape.. here are a few pictures of what it looks like right now..
the only things i have done so far is take the factory air box out and attach a cheap filter... the air box doesnt seal and the filter gets wet...
changed the oil.. cap and rotor... thats it... i have only owned it for one day
