NHRA Street Legal Drags June 1,2, Medicine Hat

Just in case anyone is interested the Medicine Hat Speedway is hosting "Power to the Pavement 2007" on June 1, and 2, they are NHRA sanctioned Street Legal Drags. June 1 is a trophy night/test and tune. You bring your war wagon and test and tune heads up race until about 9:00pm. Then at 9:00pm you dial in and bracket race til you're out. Trophies are awarded to the top two. June 2 is the actual trophy and cash race, all heads up, run what you brung, don't cry when you lose racing. There was some serious competioion last year. A few low 10 second vehicles. I think an LS1 powered S-10 took the crown last year, raced a 10 second Fiero in the final. I believe it starts at 9:00am on the 2nd. Can't wait! I'll have to go real easy on her so's I don't blow up the trans. POS T-45 tranny. Can't take about 400 rwtq . Hope she lasts for the summer at least.

It's gonna be a good time. I just keep having clutch problems with my T-45. Blew my Spec Stage 3 to smitherines. Just got a Mcleod and it's going in on Friday. Hopefully it holds. I just got to find that stupid manifold leak thats blowing antifreeze out and I should be good to go. I'm pretty sure it's still a manifold gasket leak. We'll see next week. Might help find a # of lost boost. I can't wait to see your car. Haven't seen it out since it came from Jesse's.

Had her out the other day and she's faaaast, fast enough to get a ticket so's I put her back in her hidey hole. I'm gonna look for a shorter belt and maybe put some heavier oil in the trans so she don't crater on me. I love how she tries to break the tires loose at the topend of 2nd and 3rd! On a side note I finally figured out what my vibration was in my Chebby Silverado, $555 slip yolk. so I went to The Gear Center here in the Hat and they sold me a 'slightly' used one for only 210 bucks and the drive shaft was fixed up for 350 bucks and i put it back in myself.

Are you guys seriously going to hold Power 2 the Pavement on the same weekend as Three Hills Cruise Nite? I thought this event was normally around Father's Day. Really, I want to go to both.

Ya, I didn't like that call either. The event is being put on by the Street Wheelers group out of Lethbridge. I'm just posting the date and time. They picked the date.
