Just like the title says. I've been driving my 96 vert for a while now, and have been doing bolt on parts as I can. I'm at about of my rope here as far as bolt ons go. Only thing left stock is the short block and the NPI heads cams. I considered doing PI cams but I figured if I'm gonna do it I'm going aftermarket, specificly for the cool lope at Idle. Man I miss driving my 82 stang with the custom grind cam! That sucker sounded mean!! So is there a pair of cams out there for NPI heads that will give my Idle the pushrod 5.0 lope sound and make some more power at the same time? Or at least some kind of a noticeable lope at idle. Replacing the valve springs is out of the question along wth the NPI heads. I do understang that the 96 vert is not a drag car, maybe 13.70's at best. Please understand that I'm not just some dumb guy that wants at .650 lift with 290 duration so the car wil "sound fast" I want the extra power too. I just dont want to end up loosing power or have to change valve springs. So realisticly what are my options on a stright forward cam pair swap? I heard the comp 262's got some lope. Is this true? Honestly I havent heard a 4.6 with a good sounding lope in person. So I need some faqs and opinions. Thanks guys,
