Nice day for some pictures...

My parts from AM came in last night and I got some time to do the installation this morning. I also got the opportunity to snap some quick pictures with the trusty camera phone. It's not the best setting and definitely not the quality I'm looking for but that'll be taken care of this weekend when my brother with his new STI and I go for a drive/photoshoot. He's got thousands invested in his camera equipment so they should turn out nicely.

Anyhow, without further ado...

These were taken the day after I bought her and have been sitting in my camera since.

And these two were taken this morning after adding the mods and cleaning out my engine bay:

I gotta say I'm a little disappointed because I thought I ordered the magnetic blackout panel when I actually ordered the plastic piece that is installed with adhesive. I called AM and they said there's nothing they can do because I already installed it. :nonono: Oh well... It still looks good.

Anybody with experience with blackout head/taillights in VA?

Looking good:nice: GO and black are great partners:nice: Just be careful with the blackouts...cops could easily pick you out and you may end up having to keep them off:( I know a guy who lives in Alexandria and he hasn't had too much problem with his front and rear blackouts. His car is black, so it's not going to be as obvious as yours. As far as the tail panel goes, it looks great, so as long as it's installed straight, don't worry it's not the magnetic one! Good luck on the photo cruise this weekend! I've got the XTi and have taken around 15,000 shots and still learning:nice: Looking forward to those pics:D

Looks good! No experience with blackouts though.

And not to be creepy or anything, but I recognize the background in your pictures. When I first moved to the DC area, I am 99% sure that I lived in your neighborhood!

beautiful car, by far my favorite color Grabber orange.

Yeah? Wanna trade? :D

But in all seriousness I think your color setup is one of my favorites as well. Definitely in the top three.

Haha... That's not surprising at all actually. After moving in there, the first party I threw I had a friend tell me the same thing. Of course he was out here before all the new townhouses were put in. If you had an elementary school in your neighborhood then you know where to find me!

i like the piece inbetween the tails alot better that you have. most of the ones i see the magnetic they dont cover the full thing, and it makes it look cheap.

Actually I 100% agree now that I've gone and looked at the magnetic one. It wouldn't really fit the theme of the car because it would be the only matte surface. The glossy finish looks great. I'm completely content with my mistake.

George Follmer and Parnelli Jones drove a pair of grabber orange, 1970 Boss 302's to the Trans Am championship in 70. I have loved that car ever since. I got to meet George and Parnelli a few years ago at the Portland Historic races. They had 2 of the cars there but only George was actually driving 1 of them. Pretty cool to see them 35 years later.
