Memphis has really crazy weather, especially during the winter. We had ice/snow on Thursday, and it was a sunny 60 today. Took advantage of the nice day to wash up the stang and go take a spin looking for some spots to take a few pics.

Kind of bittersweet, as some of these pics will likely be used in its "for sale" ad. The pics also (not so) kindly reminded me I've got to clean up/replace the trim.

Fortunately, I've still got a little time left before she has to go. I'm going to drive her, enjoy her and take pictures so I'll have plenty of memories to look back on. Been doing quite a bit of prototyping with this car, so don't be surprised if you see a few things in the "new products" section of the magazines this spring.

Thanks.

It's going to have to go because I've turned my focus towards running my small business, and this project just doesn't fit the schedule anymore.

I've had a great time with it, and if I hadn't bought it, my business might have never come to be. Sadly, I can't just put it into a bubble and sit on it. It's worth more in the checking account than it is in the garage, which forces my decision.

The good thing is my business will keep me around Mustangs and their owners for many years to come (hopefully). It wouldn't surprise me to back sooner than later, as I'm considering the purchase of an S197 for the company. A GT500 "development vehicle" doesn't sound so bad, and could help ease the sting of letting this one go. My hope is this car will go to an enthusiastic and caring owner.

I believe it was discount wheels direct. It's my 4th or 5th set of wheels on the car, so I'm not 100% sure.

I don't like that the front center caps won't fit. Anyone have a solution for this (if it happens on other wheels also)?

Didnt even notice untill you pointed it out.
Can you mash the dust caps enough to make em fit or get shorter caps?

Thought about mashing the dust caps. The center caps don't need much before they'll fit. I've just been a little leery about it, since I'd be riding around with *smashed* exposed dust caps if it didn't work.

In addition to a BFH, what would you smash them with? A piece of thick dowel rod or something?

Also thought about milling some of my own center caps, but that's just more time I don't have available.

you need to measure and see if they can be mashed enough to clear. If it will clear when mashed then a bfh and a dowel, or a long extension with a socket whatever works.

Why did they make a 4 lug cobra rim specifically for the fox and the caps dont fit?

What kind of emblems are those?

I'm surprized that the aftermarket hasnt made a lower cap for mustang rotors or for the Mark VII rotor.

Is anyone even still phazed by 56K anymore, except for those still living in 1998.

Same thing I said aloud about .003 seconds after I realized there was no way they were going to fit!

Didn't give that any thought, actually. I got a new camera for Christmas, and today was actually the first decent day where I could go out and play with it.

You'd be surprised how many people are still on dial up...

The emblems are my company's logo, machined in 6061 aluminum:

I don't have a close up of mine, but the rear hatch has this emblem:

Seriously nice! I just found my next wheels, no clearance problems? Discount has them? Hey, why not have your business buy the car, use it in parades, shows, and whatnot? Writeoff advantages, little sticker in the quarter window, instant company car? My ex- father in law had a paving company, Mercedes 560 SEL, a Ferarri 308 and a Bronco, all had company numbers, even the fuel was a writeoff! Hell of a 5.0 to lose!
