Was browsing over at SVTPerformance.com and came across these pics. You can see original thread here.

I wish they would have somehow retained the original Shelby front bumper, or at least some way "Saleen-ized" it to flow with the rest of the Saleen body parts.

I think it is a great looking car...

very nice! Feelings mutual on the front end thing, Saleen-ized Shelby would look cool

That is Randy Fortenot's (SP?) car, he has owned a few Saleens over the years. I heard Saleen did the conversion for free in exchange for some R&D. Pretty sweet deal if you ask me.

Man that place must get dumped on in winter. Those roofs are 2x the height of the house!

I don't think I'd saleenize a GT500. Now it just looks like a "ricer" badge swap to the onlookers.

I like it, but i think i'd like it better if they would of just put the shelby engine and trans in a real saleen.
This way it stayed serialized.

Personally I'm not a big fan of the new Saleens or the GT-500s. However, if by some chance I was going to seriously consider either, I'd choose to have something like this as it's the proverbial "best of both worlds" not unlike owning a S281 Cobra.
The blue over white color scheme obviously has its appeal, too.
