Here's the 8.14 1/8 mile pass:

02 Mustang vs 06 Mustang - YouTube

In the video, you can see the weight transfer as soon as I launch, but the rear tires were shocked to hard and ended up spinning a little, so the front end came back down, then it came back up once it hooked. If I can keep the front end up the whole time, it should be able to pull some better 60ft's and better times.

Dang. Hoping for 7.9s with an 84 trap? You must be launching the piss out of it! My best run in the 1/8 was 8.0 @ almost 90 mph, and it was with a 1.84 60'. What kind of 60s are we talking?

It's going to be hung up in the shop. I'm pretty proud of it.

:D I'll be finding somewhere for this to hang in the apartment.

Handz, quit being scared, and go get a time slip. The only reason you dont want to go, is because you know that you will only be able to run some mid 12's in your car. It's ok, we will not make fun of you to much when you bust off those mad 12.50 runs.

maybe a 13.5, KB=lame

I would love to race that slow stang vs my fiesta in the "twisties" BTW I think my wife's Edge would smoke your kb car in the 1/4mile, Also call me when your KB car can do low 11s on a stock engine.

PS, turbos can do that too.:p

If/when I build an engine for my car I don't think I'll do FI or nitrous. I like the idea of having something reliable for many years. Honestly, for me 240 HP is more than adequate for the type of driving I do. I've never been to a drag strip, plan on doing some auto-x events next year, and don't speed on public roads. I think ~300 N/A RWHP will be more than adequate for me once I decide to build an engine.

Glad to hear nothing major went wrong with your car Stumbaugh :nice: Intake manifold swap is NBD IMO.

Instigator.

Does not take all wheel drive or a light weighted car to hang with anyone on the "twisties." Just a good driver, a stiff rear end and some good tires, and a nice set of billet made testicles.
Now, I'm NOT taking a 500 horsepower Turbo car on the "twisties" with out all wheel drive. That is asking to be in someone's horse-pasture.

Thats why I'm having doubts on a wet kit.

Damn dude, that was one hell of a launch.:hail2: Almost seems like you "out torqued," the Lightning.

Funny how everyone who Hates on the KB are the people are dont have the Wallet to get a big boy mod.

BTW, It doesnt take a fast car to hang in the twisties.... just a very good driver.

The internet is serious business...

meh, I have the wallet, but find it difficult to justify the cost when I'd rather get the Charger and my wife's student loans paid off. Especially when I have no need for 400RWHP cause I don't drag race or street race.

Being debt free > KB Mustang

Sneaky - My 60 on that N/A pass was a 1.70. It should go in the 1.6x's next weekend.

Handz - Please dont be one of those people who try and bring $ into the equation. I promise you that if I wanted to buy a Kenne Bell, I would order one. But paying $6,000 for 400rwhp does not interest me. I would rather way $700 for a nitrous kit and make over that power, then turbo my car at a later date and make double that power.
