Hey i was just wondering if anyone had any experience with the Nitrous Express kit, i'm looking for something that would give me a good 75 shot, i don't really think i need much more than that but would like a good boost for a relatively good cost since i know it will be some time before i could come close to touching a s/c of any type. Anyone have any suggestions comments, or anything else as it regards to this. Right now the only thing done to the car is Flowmaster 40 series mufflers, and a Mac O/R H pipe. I plan on adding 3.73 FRPP gears in the next month or so and will also be adding either a K&N CAI or Roush Performance CAI. So i was wondering about the safety of the kit and what all i'd have to do to make it safe and durable for a long time in my 2v GT.

Thanks in Advance

Chris

okay, well beyond just adding the kit, what else do i have to do to make running it safe for my engine. Just want to get the whole story before i throw down the $600.00 for the kit.

You will need to buy a few safety items, Fuel pressure safety switch, RPM window switch and Bottle heater at minimum. NX sells the GenX2 kit which is basically all the safety goodies in you will need, except the window switch.

I recommend NX new Plate kit for the 4.6 I have it and it works great, I run a 150 shot with 30# injectors, focus fuel pump and a Modular Depot tune it is perfectly safe and the A/F is right on.

If you only want a 75 shot you wont need injectors or a pump just one step colder plugs and run 93 octane ALWAYS.

Once you go on the gas you will not want a S/C becuase the SOTP thrill you feel when the N2o hits is great.

Honestly that is the beauty of a wet kit, you don't need injectors at all. You could spray a 250 shot and not require larger injectors (just an example, don't do that on a modular). The fuel is added using the fuel solenoid, the injectors don't do any extra work at all on the spray with a wet kit.

It's a great kit, the solenoids have a lifetime warranty. Just get a window switch and a fuel pressure safety switch. The bottle heater is nice, but not a must. Also the blow-down tube is not required if you mount the bottle in the trunk.

Use the search feature and read every thread that you can. You don't want to make a mistake that could cost you an engine.

Get the kit and safety gear, check the a/f ASAP and kill some LS1s.

If you have any questions feel free to ask, though there is a ton of info already on the site.

Youll want the Ford EFI kit with the GenX2 kit. The standard Ford EFI kit includes the WOT switch, so you dont need to worry about that. The genx2 has the fpss, purge, heater, and blow down tube. The only other thing you would need is the window switch and a tune. I recommend getting the MSD Digital window switch.
