hey guys, im selling my bike within the week, so ill have like up to $4000 to do what i want with the car, what should i do with it.. i was thinking of doin a stroker, and adding nitrous... but now im thinkin of just rebuilding it where it needs to be rebuilt, gaskets, rings, bearings, etc. and adding a blower.. i just dont want to be spending like $3k on a blower alone.. what do u think would be the better way to go?? and if so where should i purchase the parts from?? lookin for best deals, thanks guys!

I went with n2o as I didnt want the power there all the time. I pieced a compucar wet kit together for a total of like 200$ or so. With a MSD digital6+, N.O.S. warmer, and window switch I was at about 600$ in a damn good n2o setup. I really have not used it that much to even come close to what a charger would cost.

If I did change from a n2o setup it would be turbo but with 10.32-10.6 comp. (depending on factory toll in head chamber and the chamber smoothing I did) boost is out on this setup.

I ended up having a ring issue on 2 cyl. on the stock shortblock and after going over putting together a rebuild or goin DSS or CHP...IT IS REALLY HARD TO BEAT THOSE TWO as far as cost goes. I got a 306 with forged pistons, rods ball. and blued', all arp studs/rod bolts, machine/assemb., with main support shipped for 2,200-ish. It holds 50 or so psi of oil press. at cold idle and 45-50 at warm idle and 70-ish psi at rpm with a std. volume pump. I am happy with that for the cost.

I would go N2O, and i would get heads and cam if you dont have none already.

I would do H/C/I with nitrous and then put money into other things like your rear end, upper and lower control arms and subframes. Is your car automatic or manual?

and then i was lookin into gettin a different tq. conv. but i dont know which stall to get?? i mean i do quite a bit of highway driving, but i wouldnt really mind sacrificing some gas mileage to make the car go faster, which is why i want to do 4.10's for gears too.. could u guys help me pick out some parts as for h/c/i?? id like to put down like 400+hp on bottle..

You'll definately want 3.73 or 4.10s.

Call Andre at Edge Racing convertors and he will recommend what is best for you - super nice guy.

I think I am going with 4.10's on my auto GT. Should help a lot since I have an e303. They claim it has good low/mid. BS mines all topend.

A decent h/c/i setup would be either the whole trickflow kit which you could purchase as one single item or you could go with AFR 165 heads, Custom Grind Cam, and an Edelbrock Performer intake. Then throw a zex nitrous kit on there.

One thing that will make a big difference in your car is the Torque Converter which you were talking about... Edge is a good company and there prices arent to high, You should also get a shift kit for your trans and you should also get some gears. I have 3:73s and I like them, I also tend to do some highway driving and I still get pretty good gas mileage on the highway.

If you do all this you will still need to get your car dyno tuned. I should really get mine dyno tuned because of the 3.73 gears since sometimes my car when shifting likes to hit off the rev limiter.
