Nitrous is like the "rent to own" concept, except you make payments forever.

**** THAT!!!!

Boost is the way to go. I don't drive my 89 without seeing some. Lets see if anyone sprays their stang every time they drive it. You won't hear it, because they can't afford it.

Something to keep in mind, if we're talking about N2O in street cars, is that it is illegal in most places to have a working nitrous system in your car on public roads.

Some supercharger kits are completely street legal and CARB (smog) compliant. In some places, however, nitrous is not just frowned upon, but completely banned for use in street vehicles, and is categorized up there with street racing.

I don't see a 347 needing boost all the time like a stock 5.0, the 347 is fast on its on right. Nitrous would just be an added boost in case of faster cars out there and the track. In this case you wouldn't be using it to make a slow car fast. Going with a blower you are going to need something that can put some serious CFM into the motor. Leave the s-trim to the 302 guys and put a novi 2000 on or whatever they call it these days,

Its not illegal to have it, but its illegal to use it on a public road. At least in indiana. Impossible to enforce though, unlike the fast and furious movies, ive yet to see a massive blue flame shooting out my exhaust

I think he was saying that nitrous is only good when it's used to get rid of an unwanted passenger.

Nitrous is cheaper to buy the setup than a sc or turbo setup. But as far as maint and running costs, sc's and turbo's don't get clogged injection jets, and use the same fuel you already have to buy either way.

Forced induction always gives you bragging rights too. You get to say "It was all motor."

If you couldn't tell, I say Supercharger!

How are intercoolers and oil-feel lines constituted as "maintenance" items?

Unless I've been misinformed all these years, I thought "all motor" meant N/A. In other words, no nitrous or forced induction whatsoever.

You're 100% correct. I don't know how I can save myself after a stupid comment like that. I just don't know what I was thinking, I think I was drinking, maybe I was just too tired to be posting, or my computer is actually a Ouija board and a ghost wrote that. Any of those work? LOL

I should be
