Today I picked up a zex wet kit that I'll be using on the gt. It comes with the nitrous management unit so it will be running on WOT with a 125 hp jet, I know how to install it for the most part but need help locating the valve on the fuel rail that I can use to get fuel. other than that any advice or suggestions are welcome as this wil be my first time dealing with nitrous. I'm hoping to hit 350-375 hp on the spray is this unrealistic?

there is a schraeder valve on the passneger side on the fuel rail, just follow them down and you can't miss it, there will be a cap on it that after you remove it the schraeder looks like a tire valve stem

So I can just screw into that and I'll be good to go as far as fuel? And how much colder spark plugs do I need? If anyone has a brand or part # in mind that'd be great, I'm thinking about taking pics and doing a step by step thread because I see questions about installation all the time.

I would be interested in that. I have a wet kit that I was thinking about putting on my 04 GT, I just need to buy a WOT switch, and I was also going to get a window switch, and a fuel pressure cut off switch just in case fuel pressure ever drops.

Oops. For some reason I though I was in 4.6. Oh well, I actually bought it for my 90 anyway, so it would still be a useful write up for me.

that could be a helpful write up, you should do it and get a bunch of pics, and list everything you needed and did.

Ok so I've got the bottle mounted and the nmu mounted as well, I'm going to tap Into the schrader valve but I need to relieve fuel pressure first so I don't spray fuel everywhere, how do I go about doing this? And when it's all hooked up will the fuel pressure build back up when the pump primes?

It should look like a Tire Valve, take a small screw driver or somthing (after engine has been off a while) and hold down untill all fuel quits coming out of the valve. Then take out the schraeder valve and install the Fuel Line fitting for the -4an Line. Install the -4an hose from the fuel fitting to the wet fitting on the Zex Box. And you should be good to go, when you switch the key over it will engage the pump and fuel pressure will be back.

Just push in the schraeder valve until all fuel pressure is relieved. JUST KIDDING! dont do that, in your trunk behind the plastic molding behind the taillights on the driver side there is a switch with a red button. Pull out the plug on the bottom of it and run the car until it dies, and that will relieve your fuel pressure if you havent done it yet.

Alright I'll definitly do that tommorow? The red button is the fuel kill switch isn't it?

No, it is an inertia switch. If you get in an accident, it is "switched" and the red button pops out, which cuts off the fuel. Yours will be pushed in. There is an electrical plug at the bottom of it though, pull that and run the car the car till it dies. Turn it on again (if it starts) and run it till it dies, and you have no fuel pressure. Be sure to get some pics, I think it would be a good idea to get a detailed install on nitrous.

It's a very on again, off again project so far, I'm waiting on my pressure gauge from summit right now, but I will try to remember to take pics along the way because I've had trouble finding info online and it would definitly be helpful to others. One final question though. I'll be running autolite 23's because they are 2 steps colder, will they foul if I use them when I'm not spraying, if so I'll have to get 25's too and swap back and fourth

unscrew the gas cap and relieve the pressure through the valve on the fuel rail, dissconnect the battery and just be careful, ive done this many times with no issuse, no need to mess with the switch in the back. just get something to press the valve in(i use a center punch), and put a rag over it so you contain most of the fuel

Thread seems to have died off so I figured I'd finish it by letting everyone know I finished installation tonight and am retarding the timing and putting in the colder plugs, will be testing it out in the morning, also will post up my installation write up tommorow
