Nitto G2 vs NT555r2

Was thinkin of swapping wheels and i see LMR has a wheel kit that comes with the G2 tires. For a car that does not see the track
would i be losing much using the G2 tires over the NT555r2s in the rear?

Based on your mods, I don’t think the G2 will be able to hold that type of torque. I know for a fact that R2 would, I am very impressed with them on my dads grand National

R2 should be a better choice. My friend got them from a discount deal at 4Wheelonline last month and he felt a good difference.

The 555r actually gets pretty good life on a road car. I’d go that route.

I have 245 50 16 NT555r2 @22Psi on my 91 foxbody 5.0 for 1 month and they hook good with 4.10s I had mickey thompsons street S/S and they are more money but they grab much better but they also wore out much faster I had 255 50 16.

Yeah. I drove them on the interstate at 80+mph for long distance all the time.

FYI, i checked my tires date codes and my fronts are dated 02 and my rear Nitto DR's are dated '99.
