no 3rd or 4th gear :(

my 98 gt lost 3rd gear and i've been drivin it like that and i was challenged to a race today by another mustang and i had to do it...so now i dont have 4th

before you order anything pull off the shifter boot and look at the shifter to make sure your stop bolt didn't work its way farther up. This would lock you out of both 2nd and 4th. Been there....

yeah i already though of that..it goes all the way into 3rd and 4th but when i let out the clutch i get nothing...i ordered the king cobra cluth and my friend gave me his old t-5...i just need to find the time to do it

your in the same situation as me,no 3rd,4th but i also dont have 5th a lot and my reverse is done.i guess im screwed for it reseting huh,no reverse and all haha.oh yeah and since you have a 98 dont plan on that t5 going in there,not going to fit.you need a t45.where in nj are you? i'll take that t5 off your hands for my 88 though haha.i actually happen to have a t45 in my garage too haha.
