Im about to buy a 2005 GT and the owner has BBK short headers and a BBK H Pypes with no cats on it.
I live in VA and I dont want to fail emmisions test. And I have two questions about it
1.) Is that an issue with emmisions test for VA?
2.) If it is an issue is it easy to install catalytic converters if I needed to?

You may have to put days back in to pass, depends on how strict VA emissions are. Only way to tell is to have it tested. If he used the bolt in BBK stuff I know first hand its excellent quality stuff and you could pretty easily swap in some stock cats to pass a test. Just make sure you get the tuner from him as well to be able to return to stock tune. The tune for the BBK stuff will be ignoring the second set of O2 sensors and that would show up in an emissions test for sure, even with cats back in.

I loved my 05. Did a bunch of bolt ons and had a blast with the car.

I take my cats on and off without too much effort. Some long 1/2" drive extensions help a bunch.

BBK also makes an x-catted mid pipe that will fit nicely with your bbk shorty's.
