No compression after cams

I just got off the phone with the shop that’s installing CMS stage 2 n/a cams and he ran into some problems. After installing the cams he ran a full compression test and there was none. Anybody know what would be causing this? I'm going to call him back and get more details and post them but I would like to get some idea's on what might be wrong. Details on the car below.....

1998 Mustang GT
2001 PI heads ported & polished, valve job, ferrea CC valves
Hooker l/t's with o/r X
c&l Plenem
75mm t-body

sounds like the cam timing is off but can you provide more info?


if one of the valves is open when it shouldn't be that cylinder wont have compression

Was going to say the same thing, the piston might be at TDC with a valve open due to wrong timing. Stage II cams on an NPI block with the small chamber of a PI head is risky.

did it have any PTV issues? im assuming the cams are pi cams, stage II pi cams with npi flat top pistons mignt be a problem, hopefully it didnt bend any valves

Well he got it figured out. I guess it had something to do with the lash adjusters. The car is up and running and will be getting tuned this afternoon.
