So, what you are saying is that this company called Global Technologies has the contract from Ford to build all the convertible tops for all the new 2005+ Mustangs that Ford will be manufacturing?

Either that or they are doing the design/engineering.

I guess Popular Mechanics is reporting that it's gonna be fully automatic. Here's the company that's working on it:

(this is all on Brad's site--when is some of the good stuff gonna be reported here first?)
If it is fully auto, I'm so in! Putting on the Tonneau was the thing I hated most, but it looked like sh@t without it on.

The convertable is going to look exactly like the fastback, just without the roof. Just like every other vert mustang built since 1964. I think the reason they are waiting till Feb is because it makes more business sense to launch the vert after the coupe to cause another craz. Once the coupe craz dies down  , bam, they hit you with the vert.

I should be a Ford marketing exec:worship:

That link did not take me to anything about the Mustang auto vert. Any other documentation on this? I checked out Popular Mecahnics as well and found nothing. This would be sweet if it were true?
