Well i have been calling many places to order a 2006 Mustang Gt
99% of the dealers will not take the X-Plan
I found one Salesmanager about a hour away saying he will take the X-Plan and i will be the first on his list.
Wondering should i chance and driving a hour away,he was telling me we will have a contract but thats about it till they get their prices in Aug.
Just wondering if any of you might be having the same problems that i am having?

Same problem here,no dealers will let you use the X-plan to get a Mustang Gt around here.Maybe if i hit another state my odds will be better.I had one dealer told me he can give me the X-plan but i might have to wait till springfor the car.Think he was jerking me off.........Johnny

Well i am putting in my order on Monday for a 06 Stang Gt at X-Price.
The dealer told me he wants $500 down.
And he told me he can order it in Aug when the prices comes out and then he will give me my Dora then.
I hope thats the way it works?Johnny

So if i go to the dealer now i know he is going to give me a contract with the $500 i am putting down on the Stang Gt..
So what you are saying he is going to give the order to ford and when he gets the prices he will tell me and thats when i will get a DORA and prices at the same time?
So hes not going to put the order in on Aug but only will have the price and dora in Aug?Thanks for your time i hate to go to a dealer and he's not going to put my order in till Aug.I am sure i might have heard wrong or maybe the dealer does not know whats going on?thanks Johnny

x plan

Johnny:

Make sure you find out what the dealer's allocation is and what priority they are giving you before you order on the x plan. Any priority higher than a ten ( ie: 20 ) is bad news.

I ordered with the x plan in January and found out later that I was a priority 20 and all other orders for MSRP or higher were placed ahead on my x-plan order.

When I questioned this I was told "what do you expect you are an x plan buyer".

I was also told I would get the car in 6-8 weeks. Well I found out I probably would never get the ordered GT and was able to get my $1K deposit refunded.

I ended up buying @ MSRP on a stock GT at an honest dealer.

I am only advising you to get the priority # ( 10 is the best you will get from a good dealer) and find about allocation as well as delivery before ordering on X-plan.

Wish you luck.

The Dealer told me i was the only one that was on his list on the 06 Stang GTs
But first i will call him before making the trip and see where i will be on the list...I thought Once he gives the order in then i get the Dora number so i can see whats going on with my car?
So even if he takes my $500 and he's alocated 3 GTs i still might not get my 06 Black GT even if he gives me a dora?
From what he was saying i should have no problem since i am the first on the order list....Hummmm very annoying lol.Johnny

i just ordered a 06 gt prem. under x-plan with a priority of 1, in writing, so how did my dealer do that, i just threatened to take my business elsewhere cause ive bought two new vehicles from them in tha last 3 years and they wouldnt sell me an 05 on the lot, so i started walking out and this is the deal he gave me.....06 gt prem, with x-plan and since i ordered before the price increase i dont have to pay that either, and i get a priority of 1?? i get my dora this upcoming week

You all have been so very helpful
So when i get to the dealer give him a $500 downpayment
2nd since he says i am the only one on his list for a 2006 Mustang Gt then he should have no problem in giving me a Priority Number 1 on the CONTRACT or Number 10 being the worst case (but not 20)
3rd tell him i should get a DORA from him in the next week or so but not in Aug when they get their new prices like the dealer says.Dealer can order the car without the NEW Prices?
4th allocation and delivery on x-plan.......

Salesmanager told me 8 to 10 weeks but i really don't care if i get the car in Oct or Nov because my 2003 Mustang Gt is still running fine. And everymonth I wait another payment is being made on my old car lol.Just don't want to wait till spring if i can do it right now then i should have no problems in getting the car....Johnny

yea i dunno maby my dealer just was back ordered out the ying yang but they were getting about 5mustang gt's a month of the 05's and i ordered my stang gt begining of april and they transfered me over to an 06 and somehow i guess im behind 23 other orders.. thats just the way it goes.. i ordered under z plan which is same as the x basically. and i hope to see it just as soon as i can.. anyone have a suggestion because i cant just walk out and order at a different dealer, because they wont honor the x or z plans.. so i think i may be stuck untill i get it...

The best priority a dealer can give your order, is 10.

If dealer tells you the order has any priority number less than 10, like 1, he is just BS'ing you.
