My friend just got a 91 GT, it has a Cobra intake, pulled the upper tonight and checked the pcv. The pcv valve still rattled when you shake it but you could blow through it a little bit, not much. It had the grommet but no screen under it. The upper and lower had what looked like some fresh oil in it, went to get a pcv valve screen at the auto parts stores but they didnt sell them. Would this cause the car to suck in more oil than normal?

it might not cause more blowby, but it allows more to reach the intake for reburning and making the intake dirty.

the screen and/or a separator, restrictor or even a clear filter would help. The screen is like 3-5 bucks at the dealer.

Good luck.

Does the Cobra intake have the metal baffle on the bottom of the Lower? I don't think it does but I don't have one at work to look at.

Without the baffle your friend would suck up more oil....

So was I and a friend until we went down to Autozone and I asked to look at their computer listings.

When you put it in, it will go halfway and feel like it stops. Push a little more and it will slip farther down into the lower intake.

Thanks! We are gonna do it tonight as well as some other stuff that the car needs.
