A buddy of mines went to start his stang up one day and it wouldn't start. He didn't here the fuel pump start up so we thought easy fix. Well he went and got one and the pump still won't turn on. So he tested the wires and everything. He even hard wire the pump to see if it would start and the pump came on but know start. So he hooked it back up the regular way and once again no pump. I told him to check the spark and he doesn't have a spark at the coil either. Now I went through the famous list of "No start" and it says it could be the ignition, a realy (don't know which one it's talking about) or the brain. Working on limited funds so he's trying to avoid buying something that isn't needed. Anybody experience? Which one of these is it mostlikely to be?

i dont think anyone can say what it is most likely to be. does the EEC relay work? it is above the puter, in the pass kick panel.
go from there - the cool thing about JR's list is that it is very systematic - so one does not chase their tail around for days.

Sounds like you have no power to the computer, so the ECC relay is suspect.

The ECC relay is located on top of the computer under the passenger side kick panel. The ECC relay is somewhat difficult to get to, but if you have small hands it isnt't too bad. I had to remove the passenger side dash speaker to get access & to see what I was working on.
