just pulled my vortech off of my cobra and the msd and the injectors and the maf.

put it all back together with a stock maf, no msd and no vortech and i am getting NO spark

fuel pressure sits at 30Psi

i already swapped the dizzy
the tfi
the coil
the ecm
the ccrm

i just drove this bitch home a few days ago because it was sitting at my dealership. i have run out of easy stuff. there use to be an aftermarket alarm on the car but would think if that was the problem i wouldnt have the car cranking. i guess i could haved a ground that is bad somewhere, buy i have no clue. im far from a skilled wrencher, anyone have something else i oculd have screwed up. i have everything plugged in/... good thing i had my 95 gt. i swapped the tfi, dizzy and ccrm onto that from the cobra and it started up fine(save for some screwed up timing that was easily corrected)

the one thing is when i tood the msd off i may have had the polarity switched on the two wires going to the coil. they are definitely correct now, could they have hurt something the first time i attempted to crank?

off topic: i'm confused ... you just bought it? or it was at the dealership for another reason? are you stripping all the blower stuff off and going back to stock?

planning on selling it or something?

i had the cobra parked at the dealership because i didnt have a garage before. i bought the gt because i was going to sell the cobra and build it up but the guy i was going to sell the cobra to had to use the money for a lawyer(trying to get custody of his son). so i decided to just sell the gt since i already have a good amount done to the cobra. i dont really like how the vortech makes power so i am goin to go h/c/i right now and build a stroker motor. i have a set of edelbrocks, systemax intake, longtubes all sitting in the garage. just need to match up a good cam to it and pick up a bigger tb

Put a test light across the two wires going to the coil. WHile cranking the test light should flash really fast (like a pulsar star). Does it?

There is a main engine relay on the fuse panel under the hood, check that too, does somebody have a fuse and relay schematic they could post?

bahhhh, i was looking at the fox body schematic and missed that the #18 fuse in the car was for the ignition amongst other things. i pulled it and it was bad, my guess is from the coil wires being reversed. anyway it cranks right up.

i had pulled it apart since my friend/mechanic put it back together like crap a while ago and i decided to park it until i could work on it myself. well it was tapping like a mofo on the driver's side and i pulled the valve cover , i pulled it and had 5 loose rockers. tightened them up and i still have a tick. its seemed to go away after i let it idle here for a little while, hopefully its just a lifter since i left the car sitting for 7 months. i'll work on that wed
