Just replaced all front end parts on my car a couple weeks ago - uppers, lowers, tie rods, idler, sway bar, roller perches, 620s, and shocks on 1970.

Get a clunk/click noise when making slow left turns. Right turns nothing. Jacking up and moved tired side to side - nothing. Seems to happen only under load. Greased all aprts again and still get noise.
Any suggestions.
thanks

Alignment shop will diagnose this for you without guesswork. You can then decide whether to have them do it or not.

Firestone will do it for free and give you a printout of parts needed that you can take with you to NAPA.

As for the Steering Gear Box, remove the filler plug on the box and remove the bolt ( 1 ) on the top of the box ( there are 3 ) it will be the closest to the exhaust, the metal description tag, the bolt goes thru that tag, take a gease gun and pump grease into the box until you see gease come out the bolt hole, there is an adjustment on top of the box, the nut is 11/16" loosen it and while holding it, take a screw driver and tighten it clckwise 1/4 turn at a time and drive it each adjustment until the free play is gone.

Hope this helps,
Marlon
