Hey Everybody, I have a 92 mustang 2.3. I want to get a little bit more power out of it. Will the stock mass air in my 93 non tubo car work with the bost of a turbo? I know a 5.0l with turbo will adapted to the bost if its mass air

you'll probaby at least need to get a chip for the ecu set up for some larger injectors.

I think the stock massair 2.3 injectors are only like 14lb which is way too small. Even if the stock MAF doesnt run out of voltage with a stock wastegate turbo @ around 8psi, I'm pretty sure those tiny injectors will be long maxxed out.

Just for some perspective, the 19lb injectors that are stock for 5.0 HOs completely top out at 300hp. You have half as many injectors and they are 27% smaller than a 19lb, so 150hp-27%=109hp ceiling.

In short, yes it will work. However, you will need to address fuel delivery and tuning. The 5.0s don't just "adapt" to a turbo; there is almost always a J3, TwEECer, MegaSquirt, etc involved.
