So I just bought an 07 v6 mustang coupe that was obviously well taken care of as there isn't a scuff anywhere on it. I'm pretty sure it's all stock yet. I havnt driven stick in about 8 years so I'm just wondering roughly where people usually shift at. My last stick was a little Chevy Aveo POS that died relatively quickly. For reference it has about 54k miles on it, the clutch seems to engage at pretty much the lowest point of the arc during release (probably a good 3 inches from full disengage) and the gear box seems to go in smoothly and stay in gear with a bit of resistance which I assume is normal. Just trying to get my footing in this yet. Thanks in advance for any and all answers.

Depends on your driving style. Shift where you're comfortable and before you redline it!

I know. I just saw no-on responded and felt I had to. What if she was still sitting in the parking lot waiting for an answer??
