noob suspension?

i am gona go with Bilstein Front & Rear Strut/Shocks i also want a little bit of drop not to much i am thinking ether thr ford c or b springs which one would be better and not kill the ride also sould i get the spring isolaters?

For a better ride, go with the B springs. The C springs claim to have the same ride quality as the B springs on Ford's site, but people on here who have actually used both, said the ride quality with C springs does deteriorate quality.

You wont need cc plates. I have c-springs and my ride isn't that bad. I plan on removing my isolators because i want a little more of a drop.

cc plates are still a nice thing to have when you upgrade shocks and springs, and are good for future sus. upgrades. and maximum motorsports are great. 4 bolt cc plates for $200. all billet. as calboss said maximum motorsports for everything else.

I HIGHLY recommend the Bilstein shocks and struts. I would also recommend the C-Springs, having first hand experience with them. Ride quality is very subjective, but the C-Springs and Bilsteins seem perfectly matched to one another. My ride quality improved tremendously when I upgraded my suspension.

I would also recommend that you invest in a high-quality pair of caster-camber plates. I got Maximum Motorsports plates and they are great, but any 4-bolt plate will do. This will ensure your car will be "alignable" after the drop, plus they will actually let you set an alignment that is better than stock. Our cars really love caster, and my CC plates allowed me to dial in about 4.5* of caster, which makes the car track straighter and improves bumpsteer.

I did c springs without isolators and I definately need cc plates, my tires are wearing down on the inside.

I bought MM cc plates already I jut haven't installed them.

It's hard to argue against Bilstein shocks/struts for any Mustang, they're one of the best products on the market and one of the first things that should be done to a Mustang stock suspension.

As for springs, there are several great packages out there, depending on what you're looking for. The FRPP C Springs are great, as are the Eibach and H&R packages which are all about the same price. I am slightly biased towards the H&R springs only because I chose those for mine, and have had nothing but compliments on how it looks and rides. Spring Isolators are ultimately your choice, I prefer them as it seems to cut down on some of the metal on metal noise, at the minuscule expense of something so small like an 1/8" drop.

I'm also agreeing with what Flghtmstr1 said before, any 4-bolt caster camber adjustment plate system will work, but it's hard to beat Maximum Motorsports. They look great, are easy to work on, and the price is right. another thing you might want to look at when your lowering your vehicle is adjustable rack bushings. you can get aluminum ones from maximum motorsports for like 50 bucks. helps with keeping the ackerman angle correct. which results in better handling. then go with adjustable tie rod ends after that and when you wanna get nuts get the rest of the k-member kit.

i dont really wanna drop the car to the point were i need cc plates casue i live in nyc Queens roads sux i just want a good stock replacement spring that will lower it a little bit and work good with the Bilstein ?

If you lower it at all then just buy the plates. I have Vogtland springs with Tokico Blue shocks & struts and the drop wasn't drastic at all. I still needed CC plates though. You can spend the $200 on some good CC plates now,,,,, OR..... spend $400 on new tires in a few months and then spend the $200 on the CC plates because you don't want to ruin the new tires. It'll be cheaper to just get them now.

i went tokicos and c-springs and didn't need cc plates. Am at -.9 camber front driver and -.8 front passenger. Car will drive straight forever on freeway.

Go to the corral, stangsuspension is running a sale on them, you just have to PM the owner for the price. It is 170 with the coupon instead of 200 or so.

+1. Taking isos out will lower it more. Poly isos will raise the car a tad over stock rubber isos.



If you want it slammed, and don't care for ride quality and noise, go without the isos and wrappe them in electrical tape even though it will wear through eventually. IF you don't want it slammed go with isos as it will sit up about 1/4" higher.

I installed B springs and matched them with tokico illuminas. Moderate drop, nothing to drastic. I needed cc plates. I also installed poly isos. If i did it again I would reuse the existing isos.

I just installed the Bilsteins w/ H&R Supersport springs, MM CC plates and BBK Isolators. The ride is great, about 10 - 20 times smoother than stock. The drop is not to low since I used the Isolators. I really can not say anything bad about this setup. I really believe you get what you pay for.

I had FRPP C springs w/ KYB AGX's and the ride was harsh and uncomfortable. The H&R and Bilsteins are by far the way to go!

Why not save a lot of $ and try the Bullett kit in my sig. I did need to buy c/c plates afterward though.
