After putting in the new engine block my car was idling at about 800rpms, it was having the problem of dying on me when the car was sitting and idling. So I upped it to about 1200rpms and today when I was sitting at a red light the car was at like 700rpms then it died on me. I have no idea as to what could be wrong. Any ideas?

when you "upped" the idle , did you adjust the TPS to the correct voltage? check your TPS , it maybe the trouble maker

TPS = throttle position sensor, located on the backside(usualy) of the throttlebody, usulay held by two small philips screws.
