Normal?

Kind of a stupid question but I am still battling my bad miss, and I have tried to pull codes from the one time the CEL came on but I keep getting a "linking error" message well anyway during another trouble shotting session I took off my MSD cap to check for any cracks and there are none, but on all 8 metal terminals (inside the cap) there are "burn" marks. I tried to get a pic but my cam was not working. They dont look black just a small area burned in the same spot on all 8. Is this normal>? Thanks

also anyone know the part number for a fel-pro lower intake gasket from trickflow street intake to TW heads?
