Which is the best, with good pricing, customer service. Not sure what direction I will end up going, but this is one thought.....

Thinking about a 302 stroked to 331. Will be going Fuel Injected, no nitrous and no forced induction. So cast or Hyper. pistons with up to 10:0 to 1 CR will do, a decent set of rods and a cast steel crank.

I'll pick up a Junkyard block, take it down to bare block, and have it machined. I'll leave the balanced rotating assembly with them incase they need it for anything, but will assemble it finally myself, unless it is included.

I live down the street from Fast Times, and know of several others in the area. One of the fastes cars I ever built had a block machined at NAPA auto-parts machine shop where they did reman engines. But the guy I knew who worked there packed up and went to florida.

If I don't got 302 to 331, I'll probably go 351 stroked out to 408 (wish I could do 427 but they won't stand up to daily driving).

Any thoughts? Experiences?
