anyone have one? im thinking of getting a direct fit 2 row aluminum one with a 3.5 inch shroud and a 14 inch 1550cfm fan. is there any problems with this combo? How much difference should i see with this setup? right now im stock (all new componets plus a 12/14 inch pusher fan with the stock engine fan) and i can bump 200 to 210 in heavy traffic.

I put one in when I installed the 347, I got it ebay for $250 +shipping. So far really happy - quality looked great and the car seems to run cooler then ever.

if everything else is up to par, you will see a pretty big difference... i have the same radiator, no shroud, and a generic flex fan, cooling a 351 windsor, and have no problems at all. the temp hasnt gotten over 180 so far this summer.that is with a lot of sitting around idling at 85 to 90 degree outside temp.

+1 on a bigger fan. At least a 2200 would be my guess, but a mechanical fan with a shroud should work just fine with your combo.

well i ordered a setup. should be here tues/wed.

i think that the fan (14 inch 1550 cfm) and the 3.5 inch shroud is going to be the main key for cooling. the stock shroud is only 1 1/2 inches which really isnt anything compared. now i cant wait for the next really hot day.

side note, what kind of ratio of antifreeze/water should i run? it wont be ran in the winter obviously so just the other three seasons.

Here in GA, Spring is a bit short and Summer is a bit long but we still only have 4 seasons.

My Northern Radiator works wonderfully to keep my 347 cool. I do use a Spal 2360cfm fan on it though. I use approx. 70% water and 30% antifreeze in mine.
