alright guys, i had a little trouble with my beater today on the way home from work. everything was fine until about 3/4 of the way home. i had to get on it to get around someone on the highway and than immediately afterwards the car started smoking a little bit. well, now it gushes white smoke out the tail pipe that smells like antifreeze, there is hardly any antifreeze in the radiator, everything in the overflow tank is foam, and there is a little milkshake stuff on the cap and on the dipstick. i just need someone else to confirm that this is a head gasket. oh yeah, almost forgot. its an 86 dodge 600 with a 2.2 turbo. thanks guys

yep. hopefully just a head gasket. im gonna start tearing it down tomorrow after work. those motors are supposed to be pretty strong so i wouldnt think that the block or the head is cracked...but you never know i guess.

Im willing to bet its a headgasket because my friend had one that did that to him. So I would check that first, I hope the block or head isnt cracked, that would be bad lol.

Good Luck :nice:

yeah, hopefully it isnt a cracked head since i paid 400 for the car and ive already had to replace the cv axles and the tires. a head gasket aint no big deal but finding a head for this thing is gonna be hard i think. the smoke comes from right behind the motor. ive got an exhaust leak at the donut gasket on the turbo and i think thats where its coming from. or its coming from the coolant pipe that goes to the turbo. i dont know, ive just got to look a little harder before i start tearing it down.
